DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Seeing permanent changes driven by the coronavirus pandemic in how consumers get safe drinking water at home, FloWater today announces the first-time availability of its new-tech, Advanced Purification Water Refill Stations for home use.
“When it comes to their drinking water, consumers are facing a new reality driven by the coronavirus pandemic,” says FloWater CEO and Co-Founder, Rich Razgaitis. “They don’t like the taste and don’t trust their tap water quality—now more than ever. Yet, they also don’t want the inconvenience, expense and plastic waste that come with stockpiling plastic water bottles, especially since recycling centers are shutting down across the country, most likely permanently.”
With the newly available FloWater Refill Stations, consumers can now access the same Advanced Osmosis, plastic-free drinking water at home that has become the beverage of choice nationwide at companies like Google, Microsoft and Red Bull. FloWater plans to introduce a series of additional home-use products later in 2020, including counter-top and faucet filtration systems, along with pre-filled Multi-Use aluminum water bottles. “Our goal is to provide consumers with products that will transform their tap water into safe, great-tasting drinking water. We are excited to offer a portfolio of options so consumers can choose the product that best meets their needs,” adds Razgaitis.
FloWater Refill Stations use Advanced Osmosis 7-stage water purification technology—a form of reverse osmosis—which is regarded as one of, if not the, most advanced methods for purifying and sanitizing water. Advanced Osmosis removes up to 99.99% of all toxins and contaminants in water, including viruses, bacteria, heavy metals like lead and arsenic, chemicals, and microplastics. The purification pores in Advanced Osmosis are approximately 0.0001 microns in size, much smaller than viruses and bacteria, which generally are anywhere from .02 to 1.0 microns in size.
The FloWater technology also alkalizes and oxygenates the water, and adds electrolytes for better hydration. According to the CDC, proper hydration is essential for a healthy immune system to optimize our bodies’ natural defenses for maximum protection against COVID-19. A carbon coconut filter ‘finishes’ the chilled water for a great taste.
Fully self-sanitizing, FloWater Refill Stations contain an ozone-generating device that disperses consistently throughout the day. Ozone is one of the most potent sanitization mechanisms available, and is destructive to bacteria and viruses. FloWater Refill Stations have also been designed for maximum hygiene and sanitization, and include soft-touch buttons that are flat and can be easily cleansed and wiped free of contaminants with disinfecting wipes. A large fill area with a fully recessed dispensing nozzle with no bottle contact eliminates potential cross-contamination from bottle to bottle.
A FloWater Refill Station is easily connected to any potable home water line for use in kitchens, utility rooms, game rooms or home gyms, and is installed like any other home appliance—with a quick in-home visit by a qualified technician. Only one filter change is required annually for typical home usage.
FloWater Refill Stations will be available for residential installation starting May 18, 2020. Pricing options are available starting as low as $195 per month. Homeowners will find more information and orders can be placed at www.drinkflowaterathome.com.
