Water FAQ’s
“We have a tap water crisis in the United States today. Our water infrastructure wasn’t designed to meet the demands of today’s problems. We’re facing an unprecedented regulatory gap—with over 50,000 chemicals in circulation but only 94 regulated by the Safe Drinking Water Act. This oversight vacuum has created alarming exposure patterns: 143 million Americans consume cancer-linked PFAS “”forever chemicals”” while 97 million encounter completely unregulated contaminants daily.
The crisis extends to our schools, where only 13 states mandate lead testing despite overwhelming evidence of contamination in aging educational infrastructure. Meanwhile, microplastic infiltration has reached such extreme levels that the average person unwittingly consumes a credit card’s worth of plastic weekly through their water supply.
To check the water quality in your area, go to ewg.org.
Bottled water is often just filtered tap that’s been sitting in plastic—sometimes for months—exposed to heat and time, leaching microplastics and contaminants into what you drink. It’s sourced from municipal systems, marked up hundreds to thousands of times, and sold as something cleaner or safer—but it’s not. You’re paying for packaging, not purity. FloWater delivers clean, safe water without the plastic. Our 7x Advanced Purification transforms tap water by removing up to 99.9% of contaminants including microplastics, PFAS, and lead.
“FloWater can boost your tap water’s pH by up to 1.5 on the pH scale, so final levels depend on your original tap water. Generally speaking:
— If your tap water starts at 7.5, FloWater can raise it to around 9.
— For comparison, most bottled water falls between 6 and 8.5, while EPA tap water standards recommend above 6.5.”
You lose electrolytes when you sweat. FloWater adds them back in—magnesium, potassium, sodium, and calcium—to keep your body balanced and fatigue-free. No sugar, no weird additives. Just hydration that performs.
A natural powerhouse. Activated oxygen (O3) keeps our tanks clean and your water supercharged with oxygen. It’s top-tier sanitization without the chemicals.
We mimic nature. Our mineral blend adds traces of what you’d get from leafy greens and mineral-rich springs—a boost of alkalinity and balance in every sip.
Great news: You’re in the clear! Our Coconut Carbon Filter is made from activated carbon derived from coconut shells—not the part of the coconut that typically triggers allergies (the meat). If your coconut allergy is severe, we always recommend checking with your doctor first.
Technical FAQ’s
We’ve got a guide for that too!
Less than your coffee maker. The FloWater Classic runs on a standard 110V wall outlet and pulls about 117 watts at max draw—it’s ultra-energy-efficient.
No need for a plumbing degree—we’ve got you covered. FloWater Refill Stations hook up to standard municipal tap water and work best at 70 psi (but can handle anywhere between 50-100 psi). The unit needs a 1/4” water line and a drain connection, which our certified tech will install. Want all the specs? Here’s everything you need to know.
“Think of it like a spa day for your water.
Filters need to be changed under three scenarios:
1. Usage: After 12,000 gallons, your Refill Station’s microprocessor will remind you when it’s time for a filter change.
2. Time: Even if you don’t hit the gallon limit, filters need replaced every 12 months. We’ll remind you before your filters hit their replacement date.
3. Hard Water Areas: If your water is extra hard (full of minerals), your Refill Station might require addtional filter changes. If it goes into a “Purifying More FloWater” mode for over an hour, that’s your sign to email support@drinkflowater.com, and we’ll take care of it!”
We fill a 24 oz bottle in 9 seconds—that’s 45 seconds faster than your standard cooler.
Skipping filter changes can clog the system and cause performance issues—plus, it’s not covered under warranty. We’ll remind you when it’s time!
Leave it to the pros. Only certified FloWater techs can change the filters to keep everything running smooth and safe. Need help? Hit us up at Support@drinkflowater.com.
“Minimal. We handle the filter changes. You just wipe it down once a week and watch your bottle count go up.

Check for smoothie sabotage. Non-water liquids can clog the drain. Our guides walk you through a quick DIY fix. Still stuck? We’ll send help.
Here’s how to troubleshoot:
Step 1: Check if it’s just a spill.
Wipe up the water and wait 10 minutes to see if it comes back.
If it stays dry, it was probably just an accidental splash.
Step 2: If water keeps appearing…
Shut off the water supply & power to the Refill Station.
Check the attached guide for step-by-step troubleshooting.
Email us at Support@drinkflowater.com to schedule a technician visit.
