With a five-stage micro carbon block filter process, the FloWater faucet filter reduces or removes over 80 known contaminants, including lead and microplastics, while eliminating the odor and unpleasant taste found in many municipal water systems. There are reportedly 6.1 million water service pipes made of lead in the US, and 5,000 US water systems serving 18 million people that violate EPA rules on lead contamination. Recent reports also show that microplastics are now in 94% of U.S. tap water, on average over 314 pieces per liter, including samples taken from Congress buildings and the US Environmental Protection Agency’s headquarters.
A recent survey has shown that approximately 30% of households primarily drink bottled water at home. Making the switch to a FloWater faucet filter can save a typical family of four up to $700 per year by eliminating the need to purchase bottled water.
According to FloWater CEO and Co-Founder, Rich Razgaitis, “Studies show that 70% of consumers don’t like the taste of their tap water. Subsequently, many consumers are forced to primarily drink bottled water at home as they feel it’s their only option. Now, with the FloWater faucet filter they have a choice: They can get FloWater on demand, a safer, better-tasting water right from the tap, costing less and without the microplastics known to be in bottled water — or the plastic waste.”
The FloFaucet costs $99, is easy to install and is compatible with most faucets. Replacement filters are changed every three months and cost $25 per filter. Now available for order on FloWater’s website, the FloFaucet will also be available at select retailers and on Amazon in early 2021.
“FloWater is building an entirely new platform, Water 2.0, that redefines the way consumers can get safe, great-tasting drinking water wherever they work, rest and play,” added Razgaitis.
